NOTES FROM THE COACH

10/01/08 -

To My Jr-Midgets and Parents,

Aaaahhhh, Sigh......

This week was my most challenging to date as the New Head Coach with our Wildcat Program. I honestly felt that I was not getting to the kids as much as I needed to, especially with the offense and defensive linemen. Thus, I brought in some help. Thank you Coach Baker! Thank you Coach Heiner, who is now with us on a permanent basis working as a specialist with all line responsibilities.

This past week I asked the kids to begin to BELIEVE in one another. I was very impressed with the way they responded at practice and,  of course,  in the game! When these lil' guys work as a team, it is so amazing to see what they can do!!! I truly believe that our real season has begun--and that we kicked it off in Hartford, VT  in thier house, on their field !!!! YEAH Jr. Midgets!!!

As always, thank you parents for your support, devotion and the trust you've placed in the Wildcat organization. I'll always work, along with my fellow coaches, to earn your confidence that your children are in the best program.

To my Jr-Midgets--------WOW!!!!!!!GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!    I'm sooooooooooo proud of all of you!!!!!!!!!!!    Now, let's go get another one this week!!!!!

Sincerely,

Coach Denny

P.S. Oh yes, also, Thank You Karen (my wife and the Director of Wildcats) for being there for me as I go on this journey, for speaking with the children on the field on game day, for yellow socks, for all that you are, for all that you do!!!!!!! AND FOR BELIEVING IN OUR JR. MIDGETS!

09/23/08 -

To all of My Wonderful JR-Midgets & Parents:

Our new word is BELIEVE.....

We need to believe in our team and our ability to do anything that we commit ourselves to do. As the season progresses we will continue to prepare the younger, less experienced players for more time on the feild.

This past Saturday in Hanover I saw so many great things! Our Jr-Midgets fought to the very end! We actually scored one of our touchdowns on the final drive of the game. THE BOYS DID NOT QUIT! I felt as though they began to understand the meaning of TEAM and how to make things happen. We should all be excited as we go foward! These little guys are really beginning to come together. Again, thank you for these wonderful kids. I'll continue to devote my time to building real character. This is a pleasure, as they already have a great foundation!

Let's Go CATS!

BELIEVE! BELIEVE!

BELIEVE! BELIEVE!

Coach Denny

Hi My Incredible Jr-Midget Wildcats and Parents,

Today was soooo sweet. The winning is always nice, as we can tend to pull so much from it! However, I'd like to focus on something else.

Every one of my players changed a bit today---they all grew in one way or another...as individuals and as a team! They executed collectively to acheive the common goal. I could not ask for more than this-! As a coach, I'm very excited. As a man, I'm very inspired. These kids do represent a small peice of the future---and they are truly wonderful!!!!! As the season progresses we'll be looking to grow each week. This Saturday helps us immensely---we've put some solid ground in place.

See you ALL at BOTH practices this week!

Thank You very much,

Congratulations!!!!!

(Now, let's get Hanover....)

Sincerely,

Coach Denny

P.S. I'm resting well tonight,haha

REMINDER to All Families and Athletes!!!

After a difficult week with only 2/3rds of athletes attending both practices, it is CRITICAL that all athletes attend ALL practices and ON TIME. As we are only practicing 2 days per week now, attendance is crucial for our safety and success as a team!

On the rare event athletes will not be present, they are expected to inform me of anticipated absences in advance.

PSYCHED to see you Tuesday and begin building on all the AWESOME work we already have in place...and that was evident on the field against Stark on Sunday!

See you on time (5:00) Tuesday and Thursday!

Coach Dennis

09/03/08 - Hello my Jr-Midgets and their Families,

Wow, was I proud to be the coach of this group! When the Jamboree approached I wasn't sure how things would turn out........Will we get to the ball? Can we run the offense? Will my guys be ready?

As the day began it was as though a switch went off-------Boom!!!!!Tackling! Running! Cheering on teammates! Wanting to get in on every play! I'm so very proud of all of the kids and their enthusiasm!!!

When each practice takes place, I never really know if they've been given enough. We always want to be prepared to do our best. Again, these kids dug down deep---they were a team--- a team of young little-men working side by side.

I'd like to also let you know how very proud I was of my staff--Tom Chadwick, Eric Hogancamp, Jim Sneck. These guys bring their efforts every night. The devotion to the kids, the skills, the safety, and the program makes me proud to know them!

Parents, your children continue to impress me. I ask for each of them to care for their teammates, exemplify a high level of respect for one another, and build up one another as we go forward------this is occurring daily!!!

Thank You, Thank You,

Coach Denny
